About the newsroom
M360 Newsroom: a Kenya-first newspaper built for the AI era
M360 Newsroom is the news desk of M360 AI Studios. We publish breaking news, politics, business, technology, world affairs, education, opinion, features and explainers — with a deliberate focus on Kenya and East Africa, and a clear eye on the global stories that shape them.
What we do
Our desk runs continuously. Reporting leads are gathered from credible newspapers, broadcasters, official government and state-agency communications, and monitored public social accounts. Every lead is researched, corroborated across independent sources, written to our house style and scored for accuracy and public interest before anything is published. Stories that cannot be corroborated are not published.
How AI is used here
We are transparent about this: M360 Newsroom is AI-assisted. Automation helps us monitor sources, draft and structure copy, translate figures into local context and prepare summaries at speed. It does not replace editorial judgement. Human editors set the standards the system works to, review sensitive and high-risk stories, and remain accountable for what appears on the site. Where a story cannot be reported responsibly, we either pivot to verified context and analysis or we do not run it.
Verified first
Multi-source corroboration before publication, with links to original reporting.
Kenya-first, world-aware
Local stories with local context, plus the international news that affects them.
Openly AI-assisted
Automation for speed; human editors for judgement, ethics and accountability.
Attribution and credit
When a story originates with another publisher, we say so in the copy and link back to them. Our Daily News Roundup exists to point readers to the best reporting across major local and international mastheads — not to replace it. We never present another newsroom's work as our own.
Independence and funding
M360 Newsroom is published by M360 AI Studios, part of the Mwenendo ecosystem. Editorial decisions are made independently of commercial interests. Any sponsored or promotional material is labelled as such and is never mixed into news coverage.
